Concrete.
Concrete pools are made entirely custom to your desired shape and design so they are often the most aesthetically please and are more durable than the other types of pools. However, concrete pools typically cost much more, take longer to install, and require more maintenance |
Fiberglass.
Fiberglass pools are fabricated offsite and are not typically custom made. Because fiberglass pools are pre-made there is no need to wait for the material to cure and a crane is used to lower the shell of the pool into the excavated hole. The whole process of installing a fiberglass pool usually takes about two weeks. Fiberglass is the most compatible with saltwater. |
Vinyl.
Vinyl pools are the least expensive upfront cost but generally require more cost in maintenance than fiberglass pools. A typical vinyl pool installation take three to four weeks. Vinyl pools are the least durable and can be ruined by sharp objects such as the claws of a dog, or pool furniture being blown into the pool. |
